Fight/Flight/Freeze

How do we respond to incidents in our own career ? Unresponsive or incompetent administration ? Students with behaviors that are dangerous at worst and disruptive at best. Colleagues who gossip, belittle, and are unsupportive and competitive ? Fight ?: set up meetings, confront parents/co-workers/admin, speak out Flight ?: look elsewhere for employment Freeze ?: withdraw into ourselves, become quiet....give up ? Or are we waiting for support from somewhere ? Somewhere where we at least we know we are not the only teachers on the planet who feel this way.
